Prehistoric Farm Dinosaur Growth: Stages and Belly Condition
Understand Prehistoric Farm life stages, the Belly condition for growth, and approximate rarity-based intervals without assuming missing timers.
Prehistoric Farm dinosaurs grow through Newborn, Juvenile, Subadult, Adult and Elder. Growth needs Belly above half full. A timer estimate assumes that care condition remains satisfied; elapsed wall-clock time alone does not establish that a hungry creature should have advanced.
The gameplay session shows incubation and ranch feeding as separate tasks. Use that distinction when deciding whether you are waiting on an egg or caring for a hatched creature.
Keep growth active before comparing time
Feed compatible food and check Belly on the creature you are raising. The official wording is over half full, so aim above 50%. Exactly-at-half behavior is not specified. An incubation finishing is a different milestone from a dinosaur reaching a later stage.
Compare documented intervals within their scope
Common intervals are approximately 3 minutes from Newborn to Juvenile, 8.5 from Juvenile to Subadult and 18 from Subadult to Adult. Uncommon intervals are about 7, 16.5, 35 and 70 minutes through the same transitions and then Adult to Elder.
Other rarity paths are incomplete: Rare Subadult to Adult is about 120 minutes; Epic Juvenile to Subadult about 54 and Adult to Elder about 240; Legendary Juvenile to Subadult about 135. Do not fill missing transitions by copying a neighboring rarity's values.
These are approximate observations, not guaranteed deadlines for every species. The actual stage and Belly are more useful checks than treating one estimate as a countdown that must finish despite interrupted care.
Use the stage for the next objective
Riding is documented from Subadult and later. That makes Subadult a useful stage checkpoint when your goal is a ride, while Elder is a later growth stage. Selecting a partner and maintaining growth are distinct actions.
Use dinosaur feeding for the care interaction or dinosaur not growing for a stalled animal. If the creature is still growing, compare the specific next transition rather than expecting the entire life-stage path to fit a single hatch timer.
