Prehistoric Farm Dinosaurs Guide: Cambrian Creatures and Care

Last updated 2026-10-06Unofficial player article

Browse six documented Prehistoric Farm Cambrian creatures, compare rarity and movement, and connect a hatch with compatible food and growth.

The documented Cambrian roster in Prehistoric Farm contains six creatures, each requiring five fossils for its egg. These are the first-period collection entries, not a complete list of every creature in all fossil periods or the sea.

This gameplay video collects Cambrian fossils and hatches Hallucigenia. Use the creature names and collection context to distinguish entries rather than treating rarity as a guaranteed digging outcome.

Compare the six Cambrian entries

Trilobite and Pikaia are Common, Wiwaxia is Uncommon, Hallucigenia is Rare, Opabinia is Epic and Anomalocaris is Legendary. Their habitat and movement labels differ even though their Cambrian egg requirements are the same.

Care for the creature you actually hatch

Keep Belly above half full so growth continues. Match food to the dinosaur's diet rather than assuming habitat or rarity proves what it eats. Meat-eaters can also eat player-caught fish; that does not establish fish as suitable for every creature.

Bramble's Feed on Home Island sells meat and vegetables. On keyboard, put compatible food in the hotbar, approach the creature on the ranch and press F. The amount of Belly restored per item is not established here.

Choose a collection or care question

Use dinosaur feeding for the food action or dinosaur growth for life stages. The partner guide explains the selected creature following you.

A high rarity label does not provide an exact drop rate, a hatch weight prediction or a complete feeding schedule. Choose a named collection goal, finish its fossil set and then check the needs of the hatch you received.
